Los Angeles, CA — Men's basketball traveled to Pomona to face the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens.
Pomona took the early lead but the Tigers were prepared to battle until the very end. Kyle Dosa cut into a 9-point Sagehen lead by making a 3-pointer with about 15 minutes left in the 1st half.
Pomona went on a scoring run and was able to extend their lead to 18 points at one point in the 1st half. With 5 minutes remaining in the 1st half Aiden Williams was able to bury a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 13 and give Oxy some momentum back.
Andrew Waldman then made a jump shot and Williams made another 3-pointer and the lead was down to 10 points for the Sagehens. By the conclusion of the 1st half, the lead was 43-33 Pomona.
In the 2nd half Oxy continued to battle but the Sagehens kept a firm grip on the lead. Pomona would go on to win the game by a score of 87-69.
Anthony Hollerich led the Tigers with 13 points and Kyle Dosa led the team in rebounds with 6. Aiden Williams made three 3-pointers and had 4 rebounds in the game.
Oxy will look to get back in the win column against CMS on Saturday February 11th.
