Pasadena, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team faced the CalTech Beavers this past Wednesday. Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) was the first to score on a powerplay with help from Max Stone (San Diego, CA). Then, the pair scored together again but this time Stone converted with the help of Guillaume. Shortly after, Stone scored another goal with help from Travis Hughes (Corte Madera, CA). Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA) beat the goalie with help from Tate Miller (San Anselmo, CA), then Danny Miller fired a shot into the goal. In the second quarter, Ryan Tang and Lars Schubert scored with assists from each other, followed by a goal from Jake Eulenhoefer with the pass coming from Matt Arrendondo (Altadena, CA). On another powerplay, Schubert scored again. At the end of the quarter, Guillaume found his second goal of the game with help from Schubert, and Hughes fired another shot with help from Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL). The Tigers led at halftime 11-1 against the Beavers. In the third quarter, Eulenhoefer scored two more goals with help from Hughes and Raul Rodriguez (Miami, FL). After, Stone beat the goalie with help from Rodriquez again. Then, Rodriguez scored a goal of his own with help from Arredondo. In the fourth, Jack Davis (Livermore, CA) scored followed by a goal from T. Miller with help from Tang. Zane Derrod (San Diego, CA) shot and scored to end the game on a high note. On defense, the Tigers drew nine exclusions and had seven steals. Final Score: 18-5 Oxy.
