Los Angeles, CA —Men's basketball hosted the Cal Miramar University Fighting Falcons on Friday night in a non-conference matchup in Rush Gym.
The Tigers got back on track in this one following their first loss on the young season, defeating CMU, 101-69.Â
Ethan Hanning brought a spark off the bench, scoring 14 points on 6-11 shooting while knocking down two 3-pointers and grabbing 6 boards.Â
The Fighting Falcons were putting defensive pressure on the Tigers early on to keep the game close, but Oxy finished the first half with a big scoring run that put the score at 50-29 at the break.Â
The Tigers also played strong on the defensive end, holding CMU to a 32.4% field goal percentage and 18.5% 3PT shooting.Â

Nicky Clotfelter led the way offensively for Oxy, scoring 24 points on an efficient 7 of 9 shooting night, totaling a 36 +/- while on the court.Â
Jacob Hamermesh also made each of his shots count, making 6 of 7 attempts and scoring 12 points.Â
Nasir Luna was the fourth Tiger to score in double figures with 13 points and he also had 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.Â
Oxy shot an impressive 51.4% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range in the game, including 38 points in the paint and 24 second chance points.Â
