Challenging Doubleheader in Bulldog Territory

Redlands, CA – In a grueling series against the University of Redlands, the Occidental softball team battled fiercely, but ultimately faced touch challenges in the final two games of the series.  The Bulldogs emerged victorious with finals scores of 8-0 and 9-1, respectively.

Game 2: Oxy 0 - Redlands 8

The scoreboard remained dormant for both teams through the first two innings.  However, Redlands erupted in a decisive third inning, unleashing a relentless onslaught that yielded four crucial runs to win the contest.

Despite their best efforts, the only two Tigers that managed hits in the game were Evelyn Lorch and Isabella Harding.  On the mound, Zada Day-Adams delivered two strikeouts.

Game 3: Oxy 1 - Redlands 9

Entering the final game of the series down 2-0, the Tigers aimed to bounce back from the earlier setbacks in an attempt to pick up the final win.  Oxy struck first in the top of the first inning with Isabella Harding's single to center field, driving in Alysha Wagner, providing a small spark of hope for the Tiger bench.

However, Redlands swiftly regained control of the game and asserted their dominance with runs in every remaining inning to secure victory.

In terms of the Tigers' offense, Sophia Sui went 3-3 at the plate, followed by contributions from Wagner, Harding, Sydney Crespo and Sam Palacio each tallying a hit.
