Redlands, CA— Tigers baseball traveled to Redlands to battle the Bulldogs in a doubleheader on Saturday in the last SCIAC series of the year.
Elias Oster was on the mound for Oxy and was able to work around a bases loaded jam in the 1st inning without allowing any runs. After Oster pitched a 1-2-3 2nd inning, the Bulldogs got on the board in the 3rd inning with 3 runs on 4 hits.Â
Redlands would be up in the game 5-0 in the 7th inning when Senior Garrett Palme was able to launch his 7th home run of the year over the fence for his 18th RBI to make the score 5-1. The Bulldogs would add on runs in the later innings and win by a score of 11-1.Â
The Tigers would look to bounce back and even the series to one game apiece in Game 2 of the doubleheader.
