Whittier, CA – In a challenging matchup against Whittier College at Palmer Field, the Occidental softball team knew they faced an uphill battle heading into the game.  Ultimately, the Poets were able to secure a decisive 7-0 victory on their home field.

Despite the Tigers' efforts at the plate, highlighted by hits from Sophia Sui, Ava Quezada, Jordan Lebsock, and Kaitlyn Suarez, the offense struggled to generate momentum to get around the bases against the resilient Whittier defense.

Pitching standout Zada Day-Adams tallied two strikeouts over 4.1 innings of work.
