RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Men's cross country competed at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21, placing 16
th out of 23 qualifying teams.

Jack Elfenbaum paced the Tigers' morning in 41
st, finishing fourth out of all SCIAC runners. He notched a time of 25:35.2. This was the sophomore's first race of the 2024 season.

"The men's team is really young this year with a number of first years and sophomores in scoring positions for the first time," said head coach Rob Bartlett. "It was fun to watch a lot of those young athletes PR today and I'm sure this meet will be a springboard for the rest of their season."

Six of the seven Tigers in scoring positions are underclassmen. The exception is senior
Joshua Lo, who finished with Oxy's second-fastest time. He placed 128
th.

Noe Barraza,
Danny Bravo, Aidan Thatcher, and
Josh Abeyta were the five other runners to earn points at the meet.

The Tigers are back in action the first weekend of October with some runners traveling to the DIII Pre Nationals in Indiana, and some headed up north to Santa Clara, Calif. for the Masters Invite.
