LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Men's basketball dropped its third straight contest, this time at the hands of the Claremont-M-S Stags. The Tigers fell 86-68 on Monday, January 27 at Rush Gym.

While the end of the game swelled to an 18-point loss, the Tigers battled all the way through, cutting the deficit to four midway through the second half. An 11 point run, starting with a
Micah Breaux triple and a ending with a
Henry Wilson layup, the Tigers trailed only 50-46.

A CMS timeout got the Stags back on track, though, as they rallied together a 36-22 run to finish the contest.

The Stags' height proved a brutal factor for the Tigers as they were outrebounded 43-31. Despite the size advantage, Wilson notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He was joined by
Alex McCleery Brown,
Nasir Luna and
Daniel Ribeiro as the four Tigers in double figures.

With the loss, the Tigers fell to 7-8 on the season and 2-4 in SCIAC play. They return to the court on Wednesday, with a road contest against Whittier set for 7 p.m. tipoff.
