LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Women's tennis dropped its second SCIAC match of the season, a 5-2 loss to Cal Lutheran on Tuesday, April 1.

The Tigers narrowly dropped the doubles point. After a
Sebaga Kombo and
Sydney Sasaki 6-2 win to capture second doubles, first and third doubles lost in close 4-6 finishes.

The Regals picked up the first two singles points, but Sasaki got the Tigers on the board in third singles, sweeping in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Sasaki is 8-3 on the season, 5-3 in her typical third singles slot, with wins in second and first singles.

Elina Shalaev added the Tigers' final point of the evening, winning second singles in a tiebreaker. She won the first set 6-3, dropped set two 2-6, then closed with a 10-8 tiebreaker win.
