LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Women's Lacrosse dropped its final home contest of the season, a 21-6 loss to No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer.
Â
The Tigers scored their most goals against the Sagehens since 2022, but the SCIAC's best team gave the Tigers fits all night.
Â
Oxy got off to a good start, tying the game at one with an early goal in the first quarter.
Olivia Okamoto cut to the net and fielded a nifty
Emma Cho pass to score the goal. From there, the Sagehens tacked on two goals, but the Oxy defense kept the score at 3-1 for the next seven minutes of the quarter.
Â
The Sagehens finished the frame with a three-goal stretch over a 53 second span, growing their lead to five and it would grow from there.
Â
Six Tigers tallied goals in the loss.
Sydney Acol had a nice game defensively, causing three turnovers and picking up 5 ground balls.
Evie Kim added six ground balls.
Â
The Tigers are back in action to close the regular season against Cal Lutheran on the road before facing the Sagehens again next week in Claremont in the first round of the SCIAC tournament.
