A sneak peek (January 14-18, 2026)

Men's Basketball
  • After two single-digit losses to open the week, Oxy bounced back with a win at Caltech.
  • Alex McCleery Brown posted one of the best weeks in the country, averaging 27 points and 8.3 rebounds with two double-doubles. He was the nation's second leading scorer on the week.
  • 1/14 vs. Pomona-Pitzer – the Sagehens are struggling through the midway point of the season. The Tigers are looking for their first win over Pomona-Pitzer since 1/25/20.
  • 1/17 vs. Cal Lutheran – after rolling through the SCIAC and reaching the NCAA tournament a season ago, the Kingsmen hold a 3-2 record in SCIAC play. A tough three game stretch for Cal Lutheran caps off on Saturday with the Tigers after a games against No. 10 Redlands and No. 9 CMS in a four-day span.

Women's Basketball
  • Paige Yasukochi is just 24 points away from reaching the 1,000-point mark. The senior has averaged 12.9 per game in her final season, with the chance to eclipse it this week.
  • The Tigers couldn't find victories against Whittier or CMS to begin the SCIAC slate, but entered into the win column with a win over Caltech. The Tigers led by as many as 29 against the Beavers on Saturday.
  • 1/14 at Pomona-Pitzer – two evenly matched teams, the Tigers and Sagehens meet for the first time on Wednesday. Last season, the Tigers blew out the Sagehens in Rush Gym, but fell in OT with a SCIAC Tournament berth on the line a season ago.
  • 1/17 vs Cal Lutheran – the RV Regals are firing through the first half of the season, winning 12 of 14. Their lone conference loss came against Chapman who held the high-powered offense to just 53 points – the fewest points scored by Cal Lutheran all season.

Swimming & Diving
  • Connor Grant and Nate Pittroff picked up victories over CMS on Saturday. Grant defeated his closest counterpart, Sean Su in the 200 FR. The reigning SCIAC Champ swam a 1:43.95 in the Tigers' second meet back from break. Pittroff won the 100-breast, finishing the race at 59.68. The senior is second on the Tigers in points and 54th in the SCIAC.
  • It was all fun on Sunday as the two Tigers, Oxy and Colorado College, competed in a relay meet. It was an incredibly tight finish in the women's 1200 free relay. Amanda George, Lily Allen, Hunter Fawley and Sienna Borchert edged out Colorado College by .14 seconds.
  • 1/17 at Chapman – the Tigers travel to Orange to take on the Panthers. On the men's side, Chapman has two of the top-16 points scorers, while the highest scorer on the women's team is 17th.
