LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Bella Calemine and Melanie Rodriguez were named the SCIAC Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week on Monday, November 2 after the Tigers' big win over Claremont-M-S on Saturday.

Calemine scored the game winning goal that gave Oxy a spot in the SCIAC Tournament, home field advantage in the first round game and the Tigers' first win over CMS since September 25, 2019.

The goal came off of a Jordyn Tribus corner in the 88^th minute that deflected off an Athena defender, right to Calemine inside the box. She hit a shot above the outstretched arm of the keeper into the top of the net.

Rodriguez was busy all game as CMS rattled off 17 shots to the Tigers' three. Rodriguez posted six saves as the Athenas had seven total shots on goal. She's tallied two-consecutive shut outs and six on the season. Rodriguez is one save shy of her career high, sitting at 63 so far.

The Tigers are back in action tonight, Monday, November 2 at 7 p.m. against No.5-seeded Chapman in the first round of the SCIAC Tournament.
