INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ten student-athletes from Occidental's Track & Field and Cross Country programs were selected as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees on Tuesday, June 23.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must hold a 3.5 GPA or higher while placing in the top 50 regionally in an event for track or in the top 50 at the NCAA Cross Country Regionals.
 
Six were selected on the women's side – Delphine Way, Jenna LeNay, Jade Weggeman, Zoey Hrabe, Skylar Cottell and Brooke Tompkins were each selected. While James Buellesbach, Peter Villano, Derek Jimenez and Sy Coles were the honorees on the men's side.
 
Buellesbach continues to All-American voting, set to be released in July. He earned Second Team All-American status at the NCAA Championships in May.
 
Occidental's Cross Country team returns to action in September while the Track & Field season begins in early February.
