Aiden Williams returns to Occidental College in 2025, this time serving as an Assistant Coach and Director of Basketball Operations with the Men’s Basketball program under Head Coach Brian Newhall. One of the Tigers’ top scorers from 2021–24, Williams holds the program record for career three-pointers made (200) and ranks second and third all-time for single-season totals, with 73 in 2022–23 and 71 in 2023–24.
After graduating in 2024, Williams joined the Caltech Men’s Basketball staff as an Assistant Coach, contributing to player development, shooting instruction, practice planning, and scouting. While with the Beavers, Williams helped coach three athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
While at Occidental, Williams majored in Asian Studies and studied Mandarin Chinese, focusing his senior research thesis on the economic and political intersections between the NBA and China. On the court, he shot 43% from three on over 400 attempts, averaging 14.7 points per game his senior season, and led the SCIAC in three-pointers made per game.
In addition to coaching, Williams founded and operates his own basketball training program. He oversees all branding and operations, designing individualized training sessions to improve shooting, fundamentals, athletic skills, and mental awareness. He has mentored and coached over 50 young athletes as they transition into high school and college basketball.
A graduate of Jesuit High School, Williams led his team to the 2019 OSAA 6A State Championship, earning MVP honors in the title game and graduating as the school’s all-time leader in three-pointers made. Williams is a native of Portland, Oregon.
