Occidental College

Kebu Stewart became the full-time assistant to the men's basketball program in 2022.  He enters his fourth season with the program in 2024-25. Coach Stewart joined the Tigers as a volunteer assistant in 2021 and became part-time shortly after. He has extensive experience as a player and a coach.  While at Oxy, his primary focus will be working with frontline players.

No stranger to the court, Coach Stewart played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks.  Additionally, he had a 15 year career at the highest levels in Europe.  In college, Coach Stewart earned All American status.

Coach Stewart pursued Physical Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Cal State Bakersfield.  While at National University, he earned his B.A. in General Studies, and minors in Leadership and Human Behavior.  

"Kebu is an excellent addition to our staff.  He has done a wonderful job working with our frontline players.  I am thrilled that he has joined our coaching staff," said Head coach Brian Newhall.
