Jack Stabenfeldt

Jack Stabenfeldt enters his sixth year as head coach of the men’s and women’s water polo teams. In 2022, Stabenfeldt was named SCIAC Men's Water Polo Coach of the Year. The 2022 men's water polo team featured three All-SCIAC award winners and three All-Americans. As head coach, Stabenfeldt has helped the men's water polo team enter a new era, ending long-time winless streaks with victories against CMS, Redlands, Chapman, and Whittier. Since Fall 2014, Stabenfeldt has coached 18 All-Americans across both men's and women's water polo.

Stabenfeldt spent one season as the interim head coach and five seasons as the assistant coach from 2014-2017. Simultaneously, he served as head coach for the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club 16U and 18U boys teams, the Notre Dame High School boys team (Sherman Oaks), and the girls water polo team at Marlborough School (Hollywood). Stabenfeldt previously coached in the Men's National League for Alumni Water Polo Club, the back-to-back Men’s Senior National Champions.

At Occidental, Stabenfeldt played water polo from 2010-2013, earning one All-SCIAC award and two All-American Awards, graduating with a B.A. in Economics. In high school, he competed for St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco) and Sleepy Hollow Aquatics Water Polo Club (SHAQ).
