Lindsey Garcia 2024

Lindsey Garcia

Lindsey Garcia joined the Tigers in 2024 as the head coach of the men’s and women’s water polo programs.

In her first full year at the helm, the women’s team posted its best season in 11 years in 2025. The Tigers won nine games and finished the SCIAC slate 5-6, just one game short of a SCIAC Tournament Berth.

On the men’s side, Garcia led the tigers to a win over then-No. 1 ranked Claremont-M-S Stags. The win came on a Tigers’ last second heave from Jack Schroeder playing in goal. The Tigers reached a ranking as high as No. 4 in the CWPA Coaches' Poll.

Prior to Oxy, Garcia served as an assistant coach against nearby SCIAC foe, Caltech. With the Beavers, Garcia oversaw development of players on both the men’s and women’s teams.

As an athlete, Garcia competed at California State University, Northridge. She played for the Matadores for four seasons, scoring 51 goals in 102 games played. She graduated from CSUN in 2019. Garcia returns to her native Eagle Rock working with the Tigers. The athlete from Eagle Rock High School in both swim and water polo, Garcia helped her team to four CIF Championships and earned four Firs Team All-CIF honors.
