Isaiah Flowers

Isaiah Flowers has served as an assistant coach to the Women’s basketball program since the fall of 2021 and was recently part of the D3 Hoops Coaching Staff of the Region as well as the SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year after helping lead the Tigers to the 2024 SCIAC tournament championship and the NCAA tournament.  Before arriving at Oxy, Isaiah spent the last five years with the University of Oklahoma Women’s Basketball program where he worked for Sherri Coale, Coquese Washington, and Jackie Stiles.  He served as a graduate assistant in his final two years after serving as the program's Head Student Manager for three seasons. As a graduate assistant he was in charge of operational tasks, assisting the defense coordinator, creating scouting reports, and helping with guard development.  He has extensive video and film breakdown experience - an area he was in charge of on a daily basis.

"Zay's passion for the game, and women's basketball specifically, is contagious!  He brings a ton of positive energy to the overall Occidental community," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said.

Isaiah graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Relations and a minor in African and African American studies. He then went on to obtain his Masters degree in Education with a focus on Intercollegiate Athletic Administration.
