Blest Jones enters his first full season as Assistant Coach for the Occidental College Women’s Tennis Team in 2025-2026. A Washington, D.C. native, Jones built an accomplished playing career both as a junior and at the collegiate level. Training out of the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC), he competed alongside elite U.S. juniors and became a four-time Maryland State Boys’ Champion, earning a junior ranking as high as No. 1 in the state. He won a Gold Ball as part of a team that went on to win the 2013 National Championship in Mobile, Alabama.
As a student-athlete at Loyola University Maryland, Jones made history as the most decorated men’s tennis player in program history. He set the school record for career singles wins, was the first Greyhound to earn All-Patriot League honors, led the team in victories multiple seasons, and was named team MVP several times.
Following graduation, Jones transitioned into coaching, working with players of all ages and levels in New York and Los Angeles. He is also the founder of Coach Blest, a tennis lifestyle and coaching brand dedicated to growing the sport and creating access for underrepresented communities. Beyond coaching, Jones is a brand partner with Wilson and serves as the lead male model for the Arthur Ashe brand, combining his passions for sport, style, and representation.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical development, mental discipline, and personal growth, preparing athletes for success both on and off the court.
