After being a volunteer at Oxy, Paul officially joined the Occidental Volleyball staff as an assistant coach in the Spring of 2023.
He has years of volleyball coaching experience as the executive director of Ignite Volleyball, where, under his vision, development, and leadership, he has grown to over 400 players each week in his club and training programs. Paul is passionate about developing athletes and providing detailed feedback to players of all positions.
For the past five seasons, Paul coached at Chino Hills High School, where the program experienced tremendous success. In 2022, Chino Hills Volleyball was Baseline League Champions, made it to the Elite 8 of CIF SS, and amassed a 29-3 record overall. In 2021, Chino Hills Volleyball was a CIF SS finalist, winning both CIF Regionals and CIF State while capturing the D3 State Championship.
He is a graduate of Long Beach State, earned a Masters from UC Riverside, and is currently working on a Ph.D. Paul is married with three children and enjoys playing and writing music in his free time.
