2011: Was named the SCIAC FemaleStudent-Athlete of the Week on Nov. 8 after leading the Tigers tothe program's first SCIAC Tournament Championship. Her career weekculminated with a match-high 19 kills and 29 digs against No.15 Cal Lutheran. Rose hit .327 in the finals and had four kills inthe fifth set to beat the defending champions on their home court.While the climax was impressive, Rose was also the main reason theTigers finished second in the overall SCIAC standing and advancedto the finals in the first place. She had a match-high 15 kills, togo along with two aces and 10 digs, in a three-set sweep atClaremont-Mudd-Scripps on Nov. 1—securing the second placefinish for the Tigers. Then in the rematch with the season on theline against the Athenas on Nov. 3, she had another match-high 11kills and four aces, to go along with three blocks, 12 digs andfour assists in just three sets.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played varsityvolleyball for four years at a small liberal arts school (DunnSchool) in the Santa Ynez Valley. She won the honor of AllCIF Second Team and MVP during her volleyball years at DunnSchool. She was also volleyball captain her senioryear. She helped lead her volleyball team, 3 years in a row,to the quarterfinals in CIF.
PERSONAL: Kasey was born on Feb.25th 1991 and lived 13 years of her life in Brentwood,Los Angeles before moving up to the Santa Ynez Valley. Shehas no siblings but has a TON of animals (chickens, horses, dogs,cats, and a rabbit). Kasey also used to be a dancer until7th grade, when she first started to playvolleyball. Kasey plans on becoming an anesthesiologist inher future, but for now is undeclared and is trying to find a majorthat suits her, while getting all the requirements to get intomed-school.
