Joey Rosenblum

Joey Rosenblum joined the Occidental College Baseball Staff as Assistant Coach in October 2025. Rosenblum will coach first base and the Outfielders, and assist with recruiting and strength & conditioning.

Rosenblum served as Director of Player Development at Loyola Marymount University (WCC) in 2025 after stints at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills (CCAA) in 2024 and Arizona Western College (NJCAA) in 2023. Rosenblum was Head Varsity Coach of YULA High School in Los Angeles in 2021 and 2022 and secured the most wins in program history. 

LMU advanced to the 2025 WCC Tournament in Las Vegas and had two players drafted in 2025, Beau Ankeney (Tigers, 14th round) and Zack Mack (Mets, 16th round).

Rosenblum spent two summers coaching in the Northwoods League for the Bismarck Larks (2023) and Waterloo Bucks (2022). Each season models a pro schedule with 68 games in 76 days and bus rides up to 10 hours long.

Rosenblum will complete his Master’s in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in January, 2026. Rosenblum received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sport Management from University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2017.  

Rosenblum played club baseball at UCSB. As a senior captain, Rosenblum helped lead the Gauchos to their first NCBA Regional appearance in six years, losing to defending National Champs, University of Nevada, Reno.  He spent his college summers with the Santa Barbara Grizzlies playing middle infield in the PCBL.

Rosenblum grew up in Santa Monica, CA and is proficient in Spanish.
