PASADENA, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2007) – Two
Tigers players scored a pair of goals en route to a 7-0 victory
over Caltech in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference action today.
Ben Waters picked up where he
left off the last game, scoring goals. After a tough 2-2 tie to La
Verne on Saturday, a game in which he scored the tying goal in the
72nd minute, the Tigers rebounded with an offensive
explosion. Both of Waters' goals were unassisted.
Joining Waters with a couple goals of his own
was senior David Rosenberg who found the back of
the net in the 23rd and 25th minutes on
assists from Fran Taylor and Tad
Garrett, respectively.
John Minger, got the scoring
started while fellow senior teammate Bennett
Adison also accounted for a goal. Additional points were
added to the scoreboard for Oxy when Alex Kipling
scored on a pass from Gilberto
Ortega to round out the Tigers total.
Occidental improves to 5-6-1, 4-4-1 in
SCIAC play.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday
when they travel to Claremont, Calif. to face off with the
Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens at 11:00 a.m.
