Box Score LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2010) – The women's soccer
team returned to the Lower Soccer Field on the campus of Occidental
College for the first time in more than a month and kept their
streak alive, scoring a trio of goals while holding the University
of La Verne scoreless in Southern California Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference action today. The win gives the Tigers their
eighth victory of the season and their sixth in SCIAC play as they
stretch their unbeaten streak to nine games.
Oxy midfielder Liz Martin was
quick to find the back of the net, as she scored on a solo
breakaway, nearly ten minutes into the match. Martin along with
Alex
Nicholson and Elissa
Minamishin led the Tigers with a combined 12 of the 16
total shots taken by the Black and Orange in the contest.
Minamishin began the second half by scoring on a header during
the 50th minute, off of an assist by Martin. She then
broke two defenders with less than 20 minutes remaining in the half
to score the third and final goal of the game for the Tigers.
Defending the back field today, captains Maddy Rasch and
Season
Falkler-Rodriguez joined forces with Bree Geary, Andrea Loh and

on Saturday Oct. 16 for a conference match-up against the
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas, which is set to begin at 1:00
