LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2010) – Hitting the road
for the first time in 2010, the women's soccer team played
well as a team and showed signs of improvement, but the outcome was
not favorable for the Tigers as Occidental College fell 2-0 at The
Master's College this morning.
Although the Black and Orange took just five shots, four of them
were on goal. Liz Martin was responsible for a
pair while Elissa Minamishin, Alex McHenry and
Alex Nicholson rounded out the attempts.
Robin Feldman got the start in front of the
cage and made 10 saves in 90 minutes of action.
The Tigers earned just one corner kick while The Master's
tallied seven. TMC finished the day with 23 shots. The ultimate
winning goal came in the 21st minute and TMC added a
second in the 48th minute.
Occidental will look to turn things around on Wednesday, Sept.
15 when the Tigers travel to Orange, Calif. to take on the Chapman
University Panthers. Teams will take the field at 5:00 p.m.
