LOS ANGELES — It's been one of those seasons for the Occidental College men's soccer team.

The Tigers couldn't get on the scoreboard in a 2-0 loss at Chapman on Monday despite firing off 10 shots.

Connor Freeman had two shots on goal and Marcus Brandford, Daniel Lawson, Tyler Eng each had one.

Nick Echeverry, who scored in the first matchup between the teams, scored the Panthers' first goal in the 15th minute.

Anthony Fernandez added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute.

Tristan Cooper made his second start in a row in goal for the Tigers and played all 90 minutes.

Oxy falls to 2-14 overall and 1-12 in SCIAC play. Chapman improves to 10-5-2 and 8-4-1.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, hosting La Verne on the Upper Field at 11 a.m.
