Box Score REDLANDS — Marcus Brandford scored his second goal of the season and the Occidental men's soccer team led at Redlands for 66 minutes.
But the Tigers (1-2) couldn't hang on during the second half in a 3-1 loss to the Bulldogs on Wednesday.
Brandford headed in a pass from John Richardson in the 29th minute.
The Bulldogs tied the game when John Frisby scored in the 66th, took the lead on Charles Izydorek's goal in the 76th and added an insurance goal on Nico Johnson's shot in the 80th.
Tristan Cooper started in goal for Oxy and made nine saves.
The Tigers had 10 shots on goal.
It was the Bulldogs first game and home opener.
Oxy plays its second home match of the year against Whittier on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Jack Kemp Stadium.
