Box Score CLAREMONT — The Occidental College men's soccer team had its chances at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, but the Tigers fell 1-0 to the Sagehens after a first-half goal proved to be the difference.
Harris Levin scored the game-winner in the 12th minute when he received a cross from Nathan Shekita at 15 yards out and slotted the ball far post.
Marcus Brandford and Christian Buchmann each had shots on goal for Oxy.
Both Oxy and Pomona-Pitzer had six corner kicks in the contest.
Theo Atkinson made seven saves in his fourth consecutive start in goal for the Tigers.
Oxy falls to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in SCIAC play. The Sagehens improve to 3-7 and 2-5 in SCIAC.
The Tigers return to action at La Verne on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
