Box Score ORANGE — Camille Shrager and the Occidental women's soccer team erupted for four goals in the second half, overcoming an early deficit to win at Chapman, 4-1 on Wednesday.
Shrager scored two goals and assisted on another.
Michaela Tsuha, often the unheralded engine that powers Oxy's offense, scored the equalizer in the 52nd minute, Shrager added her first goal almost immediately after, Julie Khil gave the Tigers an extra boost with a goal in the 77th minute and then Shrager made the rout official with her second goal of the game and the fourth of the match in the 82nd minute.
Khil, who was named the SCIAC Female Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, also had an assist. The junior has scored a goal in each of her last four matches, totaling five during that span. She is third in the SCIAC in goals and first in assists.
Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 5-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in SCIAC play. Oxy notches its third win in a row, moving into a tie for third place before the 7 p.m. round of SCIAC games began on Wednesday night.
Chapman falls to 5-9 and 1-8.
