RIVERSIDE — The Occidental women's water polo team ran into a pair of superior squads, losing both of its games at the Lancer Mini Tournament on Saturday.

The Tigers fell to Cal Baptist 19-3 and USC 31-2.

Oxy drops to 0-4 on the season.

Game 1: Cal Baptist 19, Occidental 3

Carly Zurcher, Katie Gibbs and Kyla Houck each provided the offense as the Tigers scored three goals, but it wasn't enough.

Hi'poi Lee, Nina Wheeler, Mirei Yasuda, Gibbs and Zurcher each recorded a steal.

Game 2: USC 31, Occidental 2

Anna De Groot and Kelly Fitzgerald each made five saves in goal for Oxy, but Oxy was no match for one of the best NCAA Division I teams in the country. 

Gibbs and Zurcher each scored one goal.

Next Game: The Tigers return to action against Siena and Loyola Maramount at the Cal Lutheran Finali Tournament on Feb. 28.
