LOS ANGELES — Alida Beck scored four goals, assisted on another and grabbed six ground balls.

But the Tigers had trouble slowing down Stephanie Garrett and Dulce Moll, committed too many turnovers and failed to convert on a pair of critical free positions, losing to Redlands 14-8 at Jack Kemp Stadium on Wednesday.

The Tigers fall to 0-3 overall and 0-3 in SCIAC play. Redlands wins its first game of the year, improving to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference.

The Tigers went just 3 for 5 on free position shots and turned the ball over 15 times.

Moll was invovled in plenty of the Bulldogs scoring plays, scoring four goals with three assists. Garrett chipped in four goals.

The Tigers fell behind 6-4 at halftime and the Bulldogs put the game out of reach with a 4-1 run to open the second half that lasted nearly 12 minutes.

Beebe Finch Sanders scored a goal and had five draw controls for Oxy.

Next Game: The Tigers begin a four-game road stretch, starting at Chapman on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Tigers then play at Whittier on March 4 followed by a pair of non-conference games at Colorado College during Spring Break.
