Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS — Beebe Finch Sanders filled up the stat sheet as the Occidental women's lacrosse team made it four wins in a row, sweeping its Colorado road trip with a victory over host Colorado College, 13-11 on Friday.
Finch Sanders, a senior from Berkley, scored a game-high four goals, secured four draw controls, had two assists and picked up two ground balls.
Oxy went on a 5-0 run to finish the first half ahead 8-3, with Finch Sanders scoring three of her goals during the stretch.
Colorado College countered with a 6-1 run of its own to open the second half, tying the game, 9-9 with 17:32 to play. Oxy finally bounced back with four unanswered goals from Sierra Slack, Brita Loeb, Finch Sanders and Rebecca Reese, putting the game out of reach.
Loeb also had a solid game, finishing with three goals and four draw controls.
Oxy improves to 4-3 overall. Colorado College falls to 3-4.
The Tigers defeated Haverford in its first game during its Colorado Spring Break trip, 10-8 on Tuesday.
Next Game: The Tigers return to Los Angeles to play the first of four consecutive home games against Scranton on March 18 at 7 p.m. They resume SCIAC play against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on April 2.
