LOS ANGELES — Sierra Slack scored a career-high six goals and the Occidental women's lacrosse team's offense erupted for its biggest goal total of the season, cruising past Buffalo St. 20-11 in a non-conference game at Jack Kemp Stadium on Sunday.

Oxy improves to 6-4 overall, winning five of its last six. Buffalo St. falls to 1-4.

Slack, a freshman from Vorhees, N.J., and the Tigers quickly took a 4-0 lead on her second goal and never looked back. Oxy led 10-2 at halftime and the advantage was never less than three goals, despite Buffalo St. going on a 6-1 run to start the second half.

Beebe Finch Sanders scored three goals, had an assist and secured seven draws for the Tigers. Rebecca Reese scored four goals, Ciara Byrne had three goals, and Alida Beck and Mackenzie Wright each added two.

The Tigers dominated the draw 21-12. 

Oxy goalkeeper Adrienne Ruth made 11 saves in the cage.

Alanna Herne led Buffalo St. with four goals. Meghan Farrell scored three.

Next Game: The Tigers resume SCIAC play with an important home game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on April 2 at 7 p.m. Oxy went 2-3 in the first round of conference play. CMS sits tied for first at 4-1.
