LOS ANGELES -- Lizzy Kosin recorded a hat trick with three goals, and Mirei Yasuda and Amanda Akiyama each had one.
But despite jumping out to a 3-1 lead, the Occidental women's water polo team went cold on offense and couldn't hold off Cal Lutheran on defense, losing 10-5 at Taylor Pool on Saturday.
The Tigers, still searching for their first SCIAC win, fall to 1-22 and 0-6. Cal Lutheran improves to 7-17 and 3-4.
The Tigers led 3-2 at halftime before the Regals scored six goals in the third quarter to take control of the game.
Amanda Jones led Cal Lutheran with three goals and Kaylee Kastrup and Sam Wulfestieg each added two.
Next Game: The Tigers face NCAA Division I Hawaii on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Taylor Pool.
