Box Score LOS ANGELES — The Tigers spread the wealth Saturday afternoon with four different players scoring on their way to a commanding 4-1 win over Chapman.
Kylie Takafuji, Alana Hillman, Michaela Tsuha, and Camille Shrager each found the back of the net as the Occidental women's soccer team notched its first SCIAC win.
The Tigers dominated possession, playing on Chapman's side of the field for most of the game and out-shooting the Panthers 16-5.
Tsuha led the Tigers, scoring on a penalty kick in the 59th minute to extend Oxy's lead to 3-1. The senior midfielder nearly scored two more times early in the second half driving past defenders, but missing just wide.
Takafuji and Hillman opened the game each scoring with long range goals to put the Tigers up 2-0 at the break.
Camille Shrager added the final goal with 11 minutes remaining to seal the victory for the Tigers.
Junior forward Julie Khil finished the game with two assists and Erin Iacullo recorded one.
Keeper Dallas Gunny grabbed two saves.
Chapman midfielder Julia Diaz scored the Panther's lone goal in the 65th minute to put the score at 2-1.
The Tigers host Cal Lutheran (2-3) next Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
