Tigers Remain in First Place With Tie at Chapman

ORANGEKeegan McChesney and the No. 21 Occidental men's soccer team scored first, but third-place Chapman answered with an equalizer in the second half and the Tigers settled for a 1-1 road draw in overtime on Monday night. 

Season Impact: The Tigers remain undefeated at 7-0-3 overall and 4-0-3 in SCIAC play. Oxy is tied with La Verne with 15 points at the top of the SCIAC standings.

McChesney was assisted by Zack Conrad and Michael Tonetti in the 21st minute.

Chapman's Marco Saglimbeni answered with a goal in the 49th minute. 

Both teams played a man down after Oxy's Connor Freeman and Chapman's Lorenzo Belassen were red carded in the 78th minute.

Next Match: The Tigers return home to face Redlands on Saturday at 11 a.m. on Oxy's grass field at the top of campus.
