Box Score ALISO VIEJO — Reigning SCIAC Women's Soccer Athlete of the Year Julie Khil scored her third goal in three games this season.
But the Occidental women's soccer team couldn't make it two quality wins in a row, losing at Soka University 3-2 on Monday.
The Tigers, which beat San Diego Christian 4-0 on Saturday, fall to 1-2 on the season. Soka improves to 2-2.
Oxy's Camille Shrager headed in the game's first goal on a corner kick taken by Michaela Tsuha in the 9th minute.
Soka countered with two goals before halftime scored by Zoe Witt and Taylor Hollis, taking a 2-1 lead into the break.
Anissa Raja found Khil on a free kick in the 76th minute to even the game at 2-2, but Soka's Denim Belville countered 1 minute later, putting Soka up for good.
The Tigers play their alumni game on Sept. 12 and then begin SCIAC play on Sept. 16 at La Verne at 7 p.m.
