Box Score FORREST GROVE — Seniors Mackenzie Wright and Alessandra Quaroni both recorded milestones as the Occidental women's lacrosse team won its sixth dominating victory in a row, this time against Linfield 22-2 at Pacific (Ore.) on Saturday.
Wright was directly involved in 10 of the Tigers' goals, scoring five and dishing out five. She is now second in program history in assists.
"(Wright) is one of our offensive leaders, and she's excellent at setting her teammates up," Oxy head coach Steph Janice Mark said. "She reads her defender extremely well and has a calming sense of leadership to help us stay organized."
Quaroni had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, moving her up to first all-time in Oxy history in that category.
"(Quaroni) has developed into a leader for us over the past two seasons and she's a big spark in our defensive clear," Janice said. "She leads by example to our underclassmen."
Rebecca Reese chipped in five goals, and Shai Goodman added three goals and three assists. Brita Loeb was excellent on the draw with six controls.
Season Impact: The Tigers win their sixth non-conference game of the season, improving to 6-4 overall.
The Tigers have held their opponents to single digit goals in each of their last six games, winning by at least nine in each of them.
Next Game: The Tigers return home to face Colorado College on April 2 at 1 p.m.
