LOS ANGELES — Mackenzie Wright and the Occidental College women's lacrosse team erupted for their first win of the season on Monday, blowing out Aurora 22-7 at Jack Kemp Stadium.

Wright led the game with seven goals and four assists. 

Sierra Slack chipped in three goals and three assists and Katie O'Connor added four goals and one assist. Shai Goodman, Kallyn Song-Nichols and Ciara Byrne each scored two goals.

With the game tied 2-2 about 5 minutes into the first half, the Tigers went on a 14-1 run to close the half and put the game easily out of reach. 

Season Impact: The Tigers win their first non-conference game of the season, improving to 1-4 on the year.

Oxy started the season with four SCIAC games.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action on Thursday against Albion College at 7 p.m.
