Box Score LOS ANGELES — Shai Goodman and Rebecca Reese each scored a pair of goals as the Occidental women's lacrosse team fell to Chapman, 13-8 at Jack Kemp Stadium on Saturday.
Madi Hallare scored a goal and had an assist, and Mackenzie Wright chipped in a goal for Oxy.
Alessandra Quaroni had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, and Brita Loeb secured four ground balls and three draw controls to lead the Tigers' defense.
Oxy's Sierra Slack and Ciara Byrne had solid all-around games. Slack had a goal, three draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Byrne had a goal, five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Gretchen Rodenberger led Chapman with five goals and two assists, and Brooke Martini added three goals and an assist.
Senior Day: The Tigers honored their four seniors with a brief pregame ceremony. Katie Leyden, Quaroni, Loeb and Mackenzie Wright have been four-year players at Oxy. Their most successful season was their junior year when they helped Oxy advance to the SCIAC Championship game and the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Season Impact: Oxy falls to 6-9 overall and 0-8 in SCIAC play.
Chapman improves to 12-3 and 7-2.
Next Game: The Tigers face Whittier on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Jack Kemp Stadium.
