THOUSAND OAKS — Lizzy Kosin scored four goals, and Claudia Oppermann and Carly Zurcher each had three assists.

But the Occidental women's water polo team couldn't spoil Cal Lutheran's senior day, falling 13-8 on the road on Saturday.

"We had some big moments in the game where we played tough and tried to chip away at their lead," said Kosin, who also earned three exclusions. "We had a lot of people step up in big ways and we are coming together as a team more and more each game."

Hi'ipoi Lee added two goals and two steals for Oxy.

Zurcher had a solid all-around game, setting teammates up. She also earned a pair of exclusions and had one steal.

Oxy was playing its best water polo in the fourth quarter, when it scored five goals, but the Regals' lead was already too much to overcome.

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 2-10 overall and 0-6 in SCIAC play.

Cal Lutheran improves to 11-16 and 3-4 SCIAC.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action at Caltech on April 13.
