Box Score GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — Neah Bois made 10 saves and Rebecca Reese had two goals, an assist and three ground balls as the Occidental women's lacrosse team crushed Whitman, 16-4 in Texas on Saturday.
"Our defense started our offense today and they played as a unit all over the field," Oxy head coach Stephanie Janice Mark said. "Our attackers were really unselfish and I was pleased with our balanced attack."
The Tigers converted 7 of 10 free position opportunities, making up nearly half of their goals.
First year Alessandra Pellecia had a big first college game, scoring three goals, with four ground balls, two draw controls and four caused turnovers. Ciara Byrne added three goals for Oxy.
Season Impact: Oxy wins its season opener, moving to 1-0.
