REDLANDS — The Occidental women's water polo team traveled to Redlands to play the Bulldogs and then Brown University for a doubleheader on Saturday.

Oxy played outstanding defense in Game 1 against Redlands, but the Bulldogs were even better, shutting out the Tigers 6-0.

Oxy found some offense in Game 2, but lost to Brown 12-5.

Monica Chernoff led the Tigers with three goals, going 3 for 3 on 5-meter penalty shots, and Oxy's leading goal scorer Carly Zurcher added a pair of goals.

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 5-15 overall and 0-3 in SCIAC play.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action at Chapman on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
