WHITTIER -- Sierra Slack and Alessandra Pelliccia each scored six goals, and Shai Goodman added four as the Occidental women's lacrosse team made easy work of Whittier with a 20-6 road win on Saturday.
Slack was aggressive on offense, firing off 14 shots. She also had one assist.
Pelliccia, the reigning SCIAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week, also had three assists.
Goodman, usually Oxy's assist woman who sets others up, was an efficient 4 for 5 from the field.
Madisyn Hallare scored two goals, Marie Whitmore had a goal and two assists, and Ciara Byrne added one goal.
"Madi was a big factor with her hustle all over the field and Shai had a career day," Oxy head coach Stephanie Mark said. "We had a good week at practice and that hard work was evident in today's performance."
Hallare, Byrne and Pelliccia all finished with five draw controls as the Tigers dominated the draw 23-5.
Whittier's best effort came from Morgan Miracle with a pair of goals.
Oxy's defense held its opponent under 10 goals for the eighth time in 12 games this season.
Season Impact: Oxy moves to 10-2 overall and 4-2 in SCIAC play.
Next Game: The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, facing Chapman at home at 7 p.m.
