THOUSAND OAKS — The Occidental men's soccer team came up short in a 1-0 loss to Cal Lutheran on Wednesday.

The Tigers fall to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in SCIAC play.

Cal Lutheran improves to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in SCIAC play.

Brandon Kearney scored the game's only goal on an assist from Joey Arnold in the 18th minute. That was all the Kingsmen needed to hang on for the victory. 

The Tigers had plenty of chances to find the goal, firing off 15 shots with two on the frame. 

Oxy goalkeeper Dante Amodeo suffers his first loss in the net as the starter, moving his record to 2-1 this year.

The Tigers are back in action at La Verne on Saturday at 5 p.m.
