PASADENA — The Occidental men's soccer team cruised past Caltech, 3-0 on the road on Wednesday afternoon.

Marcus Blumenfeld scored Oxy's first goal in the 41st minute on an assist from Matthew Teplitz, and Joey Schwartz scored Oxy's second and third goals in the second half, with Teplitz recording one more assist. 

Oxy outshot the Beavers 15-3 and had four more corner kicks, controlling the game from start to finish.

Season Impact: Oxy improves to 6-5-2 overall and 3-4 in SCIAC play.

Caltech goes to 1-9 and 0-6.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action on Saturday, playing UC Santa Cruz in a non-conference match at Oxy at 4 p.m.

The Tigers' next SCIAC game is at home on Wednesday against La Verne.
