LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's soccer team finished the regular season with a 1-0 road victory at Whittier on Saturday night.

Joey Schwartz scored the winner in just the 4th minute on assists from Marcus Blumenfeld and Miles Robertson.

Oxy's record goes to 10-5-4 overall and 7-4-1 in the SCIAC. The Tigers will advance to the four-team SCIAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed, playing at No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Tigers advanced to and hosted the SCIAC Tournament Championship game last season, falling to Chapman in a close contest.

The tournament determines the SCIAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
