PASADENA — The Occidental women's soccer team kept up its hot start to the season, beating Caltech 5-0 on the road on Saturday afternoon.

Kialani Mackey, Julia Lindemuth, Isabella Bonomi, Anaise Nugent and Rachel Kolpa were the goal scorers for the Tigers.

Oxy controlled the game and put away the decision by halftime, going up 3-0, and then added two more goals in the second half.

The Tigers' defense played well, only allowing one shot on goal.

Season Impact: Oxy improves to 6-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in SCIAC.

Caltech falls to 0-9 overall and 0-3 in SCIAC.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action on Wednesday at home against Pomona-Pitzer at 7 p.m. It's a big game for Oxy against the team the Tigers defeated on the road in the SCIAC Tournament Championship last season.
