Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental men's soccer team picked up an impressive fourth win in a row in a high scoring 4-2 win over UC Santa Cruz on Friday night.

Oxy came out strong and scored just six minutes into the game thanks to a goal by defender Evan Karp. Tigers midfielder Adrian Paredes doubled the lead off of defender Christian Corcoran's assist 13 minutes into the first half. The Banana Slugs responded quickly as forward Luca Bravo scored in the 21st minute thanks to an assist from forward Jake Rhodes. Oxy forward Marcus Chmielewski scored just 8 minutes later to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead going into halftime.

Just seven minutes into the second half, Adrian Paredes scored his second goal of the night to give the home side a comfortable three goal advantage. UC Santa Cruz defender Itay Rabinovich gave the Slugs their second goal of the match in the 79th minute, but it was not enough to spark a comeback. The Tigers outshot the Slugs 15-9 on the night while Oxy goalkeeper Scott Drazan made three saves during the match.

Next Game: The Tigers will look to pick up their 4th straight conference win on Wednesday night when they host Cal Lutheran at 7:00 p.m.
