Los Angeles, CA —  The Occidental men's soccer team put up a good fight against Pomona Pitzer on Saturday, but in the end they were unable to come back from behind.

Both teams were scoreless for much of the game, but in the final fifteen minutes, the Sagehens were able to break through the Oxy defense and get the first goal of the night.  Pomona Pitzer's Jared Mejia, assisted by Kyle Lau, got the first goal, followed by another goal ten minutes later by Matthew Carlson, assisted by Jared Mejia.  The Tigers were able to rally and get their first goal of the night in minute 88 by Jazz Henry.  The clock ran out before they could continue their run for a draw. 

Next Game:  The Tigers will host Redlands for the next SCIAC game on Wednesday, September 22 at 7 p.m.
